went for valentine's day with my wife. We both really liked our dishes and the ambiance. it was an older crowd while we were there, very cute italian style. waiters were attentive and didn't have any issues with me sending a water back. we ordered fried calamari which had some spicy peppers fried with it. I didn't think to cut up one of the peppers to eat with the calamari until the end but the combo really worked. The marinara that came with it was just okay. My wife got sea food spaghetti which was overflowing with pasta and lobster which she really enjoyed (I am allergic so I took her word for it) and I had the osso buco which I had never heard of. It was great, a large piece of meat cooked in sauce and wine and served over mashed potatoes. Another huge portion. We packed up half our meals for lunch the next day. I don't know if it was just for valentine's day or not but they had someone playing piano while we were there. It was very nice. I wound up getting a groupon to go back again, they don't take coupons or discounts on holidays though so be aware of that. if i go back a few times and everything was just as good this first time i will look to raise my review.
It had been a while since we ate at the Old Stone Mill and I'm so glad we went back. First and most important, Florio Rugova is now running the restaurant. Florio, who was at Jordan Hall and La Fontanella in Pelham, brings charm, warmth, expertise and excellent food wherever he goes. And indeed, everything about our dining experience was superb. The menu had been updated and everything served was delicious. The tables are far enough apart that you can hear even when the restaurant is busy. We're delighted that we have a "new" neighborhood restaurant to go to and thrilled that Florio is back. The buzz is beginning. Go before the crowds follow!!!
I visited Olde Stone Mill Restaurant with my cousin whom Olde Stone Mill Restaurant provides catered lunches to. Where do I begin? The building is a historical building in Yonkers and this day we were greeted by the owner's son Antonee who is an absolute sweetheart. We were seated on a beautiful outside patio and Mario was our exceptional waiter. I ordered a Chrysanthemum drink and my cousin ordered a classic mimosa,both which were crisp and refreshing. Order the Belgian Waffle!!!! It was topped with vanilla ice cream,whipped cream and a blackberry compote..AMAZING!!!! The waffle was light and fluffy but yet a little crispy...Don't forget a side of bacon,that was sizzling still when brought to the table Also order the Frittata which smells like pizza when brought to the table. I don't have anything bad to say about this place.I'd come here over and over You should too!!! Thanks Antonee Aly&Jamine
Had a lovely baby shower here The food was great The service was even better You get treated like family here Nice bar atmosphere Romantic dinner seating I had the grilled chicken and veggies and it was perfect Salad was perfectly dressed Ice cream was delicious My shower was special thanks to this landmark Great spot for a special event or dinner
Under new management Gene Dinapoli and had the pleasure to meet him as well. We had to order our food to go and they were so accommodating. Penne alla Vodka with a side of 2 meatballs, Filet Mignon with potato croquette and veggies, Chicken Martini with Lemon, Butter, White Wine, Served with Potato Croquette and Vegetable and for 1 of our finicky eater lol, spaghetti with olive oil and grilled chicken. Have to say all of it WAS INCREDIBLY AWESOME!! it was authentic Italian. Brought back a great childhood memory of my sunday family Italian dinners. Outstanding food and service!
